Originally from Mendoza, Argentina, and after graduating as Industrial Engineer from the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Martin quickly moved to the US to study his MBA at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon graduation and after a one year stint at a global consulting company (IDC) he joined one of the most prestigious wine distributors in the United States: Augustan Wine Imports in Florida. As General Manager of Augustan Wine Imports, Martin was exposed to every aspect of selling, marketing, and distributing some of the most renowned and respected wines from around the world. In 2004, Augustan Wine Imports is acquired by the second most important alcohol distribution company in the country, the Charmer Sunbelt Group, becoming the high end distribution arm for the big conglomerate in Florida where Martin remained as General Manager until 2009.
In 2009, Martin decides to go back to Argentina to fully dedicate himself to making wines with a sense of place with his long time rugby friend Cristian Allamand. Martin is responsible for the initial push and development of the distribution network with some of the most prestigious and respected distributors in 14 states in the US.
In 2012, and with the idea of re-enforcing the focus on quality and the objective of making wines with a sense of place, Luis Feld joins the team and along with Cristian Allamand they form Luminis, a project that counts with its own 50+ hectares of vineyards, a small winery located in Maipu, and two distinct lines of wines with a strong sense of place: the Luminis line of wines destined to express the traditional characteristics of the Lujan de Cuyo area, and the Allamand line of wines, created with the idea of expressing the uniqueness, and finesse of the Valle de Uco region.
