Allamand Valle de Uco Malbec 2014

This wine is the heart of Bodegas y Viñedos Luminis line of wines from the Valle de Uco region. It is a 100% malbec that comes from three different vineyards planted in Valle de Uco. Located at more than 3,000 ft above sea level, and being at the foot of the Andes range, the Valle de Uco region is the land of the most refined and elegant malbecs in Argentina. This is one of our "appellation” driven wines and through it, we at Bodegas y Viñedos Luminis are trying to capture what malbec from the Uco Valley is about: malbecs of deep purple color, lots of violets in the nose, and natural great acidity.

Total production for the 2014 vintage: 4,800 cases

Allamand Valle de Uco Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

While most of the Cabernet Sauvignon in Mendoza is planted in the High Mendoza River region, we at Luminis like our Cabernet Sauvignon from the Valle de Uco region because of the cooler climate characteristics we are being able to achieve with grapes from this area: good acidity, proper maturation of the grapes, great expression of fruit, and an elegant and smooth finish that stands this wine apart from most of the Cabernet Sauvignons being produced today in Argentina. In general, only 5% of the wine goes through new French oak for 12 months for increased complexity, texture, and roundness.

Total production for the 2013 vintage: 2,200 cases
